was it only fitted to special's?? just wanting to find out if the lighter in my p/van should be there. The ashtray without cigarette lighter has a metal plug in it which is pushed out when the lighter is fitted. Ash trays with the metal plug are getting a little hard to find now.

I can't imagine many ashtrays in any model were without a lighter given the percentage of smokers at the time.

Naah, frustrating is when the lighter gets a little bit loose over time, the kids play with it and it jumps out, red hot, and rolls onto the floor :o.
