(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/mcl1959/special.jpg) Very interesting. The same author who wrote "Heart of the Lion" - It delves into the history of where the FX prototype came from. Everyone knows the story that it was supposed to be a prototype Chev, but this book looks at the history of GM from about the mid 30's up to the development of the FX and the role that the Opel subsidiary played in this development. As I said - a very interesting book!! A four wheel drive EH prem.... cool. Would like to be there bwhen it was time to motor back over the sandhills. ya would need everybody inthat picture to push it. Yup the dog needs a bit of a lesson. Soooo.. i suppose we will allow the chick on the back to grind the sand on her feet into the paint... NOT!!!!. .I have seen that picture on something else before. cant remember what.... havent read the book. Good read it certainly gives a lot more information about the early years of GMH than most things you read.

Unfortunately I was too busy to take them up on the offer personally, and no-one else put their hand up at the meeting, so that was the end of that.
