The logo looks cool, will it be on a plain white t shirt or will we have a t shirt covered in sponsors?
 hopefully my car will be finished!
 my mate who has a EK and his wife has a FC wagon usually cant afford to go to stuff like this but since he lives in orange he plans to get to this one, i prefer coastal runs but i reckon mountain should be fun, speed limit is 60 all the way around but i bet in the stockers on some sections of the track 50 would be scary.
 just a tip, if you see cheap lighters in the mt panarama museum make sure they have gas, i saw some in the souvineer shop for $1 each,  i am always losing mine so i thought i would stock up, i bought about 15, we go t back over the other side of the mountains, pulled over for a smoke and found they were all empty or only had 1 or 2 lights left.
 worse thing about this for me is the big trip this time will only last a couple of hours, my favorite part.

That is a good logo alright. What about the actual date across the front wing say - like a sponsors text?

Can't wait, hard to believe it's still two years away, oh well just have to be patient, It'll be a good excuse to slip up to the snow too, are there going to be black T shirts, I can make a white one dirty just by looking at it ;) :D

I have black and white tshirts, i find with a black t shirt people think youve been bludging but with a white one people think youve been doin stuff, unless ive been dry sanding, then a black t shirt looks like ive been busy.

Just a question that has been in my mind for a while, although I am sure that I will have answered the question by the time I have finished writing...

Has there ever been an FE-FC Nationals in Tasmania?

I am guessing that there won't be any time soon, as we don't have a dedicated FE-FC Club.

Mind you, the thought of a swarm of FE/FC's in Tasmania is a good one.

No there hasn't.

However, the club down there was admitted into the FE-FC Holden Car Clubs of Australia which means they will get a turn to host a Nationals down the track.

I'm sure Bill & Judi will be looking for all the help they can get organising such an event.

Oh, and by the way...

Modify the logo:

Left half FC and right half FE??

How about if we say the underneath half is FC?  ::)

The new website for the 13th FE-FC Holden Nationals ($2) in Orange, NSW is now up and waiting for you to check it out.

This means you can start booking your accommodation at Turner's Vineyard and the other venues. The Vineyard will fill up fast, so if you want to stay at Nats HQ, don't think about booking for too long, just do it!

The Ambassador has a problem, they don't know anything about it and are not very nice on the phone.
It's ok solved the problem we are now booked into Turners Vineyard very helpful.

We've spoken to the management at the Ambassador, it's all sorted out. Given that we (NSW club) only confirmed our arrangements with the Ambassador last week, it's possible their weekend staff were caught on the hop.

Anyway, their 2008 rates are now available on the site ($2), and they've committed to offering Nats attendees their corporate rates come the event. Obviously they can't say at this stage what the exact 2010 prices will be, and neither will any of the other motels - it's too far out at this stage.

Bec and I are also booked in at Turner's Vinyard, so are the Goboly's & Tierney's.  So there should be a great roll up once again from the ACT.  We can't wait!

RET, congratulations on the Nats Website.  It's one of the best websites I've ever seen, absolutely fantastic.

Just spoke to Turner's, and the "NO VACANCY" sign has officially been hung. :-[

That's a complete sell-out in under 3 days, 22 months before the event!

The next recommended alternative is The Country Comfort ($2).

There's no shortage of accommodation at the other official venues:
- Country Comfort
- The Ambassador
- Central Caleula
- Canobolas Caravan Park

... not to mention there are plenty of other motels and another caravan park in the town. Check out the Accommodation ($2) link on the website for all the options.

Out of curiosity RET - how many people/cars do you think will go to the nationals?

Booking out a 42 room hotel is pretty good going with 2 years to go.....

Yeah, we reckon so too ;D

Event Planning is working on numbers in the order of 150 cars / 400 people at this stage.

It's a scale well beyond your average overnight club run :o

He's house master at a boarding school actually, so I suspect he might have plenty of empty beds.  Too much beer in the dorms might not be permitted however. ;)

This thread's purpose was to announce the launch of the Orange 2010 website ($2).

Since that's happened, it's strayed well O/T, and is no longer serving its original purpose, so it's been closed. Be aware that some posts have been deleted.

Further developments regarding the Nationals will be posted both here and on the official site itself.
