Title: Learner driver with C plates
Post by: customFC on June 11, 2008, 03:58:25 PM
Picked up these pics the other day.
They show a FC Business/Standard sedan featuring Commonwealth Govn't C plates.
The large L plates front and rear were there to inform other drivers that a Learner was at the controls. These are clamped around the bumper. Note also the mirror on the passenger side only, too high to be seen by the driver.
Written in pencil on the back is "PMG Driving School car".
There does appear to be 2 young men in the car who would be the correct age for learner drivers. Perhaps teaching PMG apprentices to drive?
Another interesting identifying feature is the street sign that appears in the background of 1 of the pics. It reads "MACPHERSON ST".
As I bought these pics from a seller in Hove S.A., I did a search and there is infact a Macpherson St in Hove, possibly the location these pics were taken.

Nice pics Alex, I'm glad you got them ;)

I'm sure glad it isn't a requirement to have an 'L' plate that size now!!
