I bought it from a guy i know from work.
He has spent the last 4 years fixing it up, just got it on the road and has  hardly driven it.
He had to sell it to buy himself a mortgage :(
he was real sorry to see it go, but is happy it has gone to a good home.

Paul, that is a great looking wagon.  You have done very well and I am very jealous.  I hope to have my own wagon one day soon, and if it looks that great I will be one happy FC owner.

Cheers

Steve

FC427,
I'm pretty happy with it, i've also wanted a wagon for a while now too.
I was going to keep quiet about the car and just turn up to the next club run with it as a suprise, but i was busting to show it off and couldn't wait that long. i'll bring it along to the meeting if i have enough time and get home from work early enough.
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks guys,

I think i'll hang on to the scratch plates for now.
However, i am in need of some other parts and i'm willing to let the scratch plates go, and anything else in the trailer (except the heater) as a swap or part payment for,

grille (my one has a big stain in the middle of it)
spare wheel
grill badge

send me a PM if you can help

Cheers,
Paul

FC427,
You can see the stained grill in this photo. It has a stain in the top and bottom of the main surrounds and the horizontal bars across the middle. This lets down its appearence a bit.

Greg,
I believe that the car was originally white with black insert and red and black interior.
The white colour is from a late model commodore and the insert is a custom mix blue with a purple pearl painted over a silver base. It sometimes looks blue and sometimes purple.

EffCee,
I like the interior too, but i'm a bit worried about keeping the light colours clean. Hopefully i wont be spending too much time fixing it so greasy finger prints shouldn't be too much of a problem. :)

Cheers,
Paul

Hey Paul.
The horizontal bars are Stainless and should come up with a polish.
Any idea what caused the stain?
Have you tried Autosol on the chrome to try to move it?
Regards
Alex

Paul I wonder if it had come in contact with rust converter or dexodine to cause the staining ?? as Alex said the grill bars are stainless steel and can be removed and lenished with a scotch bright belt and then polished to a mirror finish if you need any help with the polishing let me know .....FC427.......

Not to hijack your thread but.... ::)

I have several little pinpricks of rust showing through the chrome on my FC and also another car. They have run slightly showing a larger spot of rust but in reality it is very small "hole" in the chrome so to speak. Can these be cured or polished such that you can't see them any more?

Thanks
Paul
