looking at that FB wagon it looks like the standards of showcars at the summernats is getting higher every year, who is the stud that owns the torana?
The FC wagon has come up nice too.
might have to go next year.

HI Alex Top Shots as usuall you are a real asset to this forum . I had the pleasure of climbing all over Rod Hadfields T at his place before it was painted and it looks even better now . How did you manage to get my mate in the shot ???? [Guy with the beard ] very cool cars and very big price tags to go with them I am sure but life is short spend up and enjoy  ..........FC427......

Great pics, that FB wagon is certainly a cracker.  The FC army sedan is the one from Bandiana museum.

who is the stud that owns the torana?

Not sure if this is sarcasm, but I will answer it anyway.
The Torana is owned by Jonesy on this forum.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for taking us cruising around the grounds. It added another perspective to the whole event.

Alex

Great pics as always, thanks Alex.
There is a thread on the build up of this HB on the gmh-torana forum, a little set back towards the end of the build but it still made it.

great pics Alex,

I went for abit yesterday and watched alot of cars blow up on the burnout strip... i dunno why they spend so much $$ and stuff them up completely.

the green FB and Steve's wagon were my fave cars, unfortunately I didnt a great look at the FC.

Cheers

Ed

talking of blowing up engines was talking to some guys about the burnout masters in QLD a couple of guys blew up $20,000-$30,000 motors for $5,000 prize money which they obviously didn't win
i know they didn't plan the blowups but must have done something wrong

ive been in burnout comps myself in the FC, you plan to take it easy on your car and then you watch your temp guage peak out but the crowd starts chearing and you just keep your foot planted, like you loose control from the rush you get from the people in the stands, then you idle of the burnout pad at the end with steam and smoke everywere, the radiator cap wistling and the motor sounds like chitty chitty bang bang and the regret starts to kick in, i think the oil gets too hot and thins rite out becuase usually you leave the car for a while, put in water and drive it home and all is nomal again.
most of the money in a $20000 motor is in strong parts to hold it together in a situation like a burnout but unfortunately it doesnt always work
