Title: brake booster under the gaurd Post by: fccool59 on May 25, 2007, 06:35:45 AM anyone got a brake booster under the gaurd or hidden? i want to do it, my gaurds will be near impossible to remove once the car is back together so it needs to be servicable with the gaurd on.

Also a good idea to have a cover over the air inlet to stop water entering the booster. We have fitted a number of these in the last few years and all have passed engineering. Title: Re: brake booster under the gaurd Post by: bent8-58 on May 25, 2007, 07:56:43 AM l got "caught" mounting my booster under the guard, l was told by a brake "expert" that it didnt matter if it was on a angle,but air gets trapped in it & has to be bled seperately(pain in the arse) Next time l'll mount it level!!!! Apart from that its given me no trouble. Daz.
Title: Re: brake booster under the gaurd Post by: mcl1959 on May 25, 2007, 08:10:43 AM Absolutely - bleeding is most critical in a VH40 but the booster can be mounted at an angle or even up side down as long as it is bled first then bolted in place.
