There's an FB on Ebay at the moment with the following paint number, is this the Duco high gloss black?

trim 340886 paint 256870

Petre (?)

Neither of those numbers look valid.  The trim number should be two sets of numbers with a dash between them.  Duco Black will have 4 for the first number. Similarly the paint code should be two numbers with a dash between.  256 is one of the codes for Duco, but the BALM number (the second half of the number) should be 6258.

Trim #340 is in the range of FB/EK specific colours, not sure what it refers to.  Magic Mirror (Acrylic) Black aka "Carlsbad Black" would have a paint code 586-0055.

Also, the second half of that trim code (886) belongs to a green and grey combination, which doesn't sound likely for a black car.

So long story short? Don't think so.

That would be it, I'm just curious as to whether it's an original black FB like the one I had.  That's to you both for your comments.
