That car was in the public display area at the 2001 Sydney Nats (in Penrith), and has subsequently been featured in Street Machine. I think he was pulling the leg of the interviewer just a little bit. Have a look at the air cleaner poking through the bonnet. The air filter is fitted to the carburettor via an S bend pipe. The increased length gives that 'ram air' effect, seriously increasing torque. That's why it makes so much smoke. Spinner ;) |
