hey jusy wondering if anyone can tell me about my car by the id plate ?

fc 229 12278 L
trim 278 656
paint 256 770
rpo 253 8039

Your car is the 12,278 th wagon made in Adelaide and is about half way through the run since there were roughly 30,000 built there in total. This would put its build date at around Feb 1959. I can calculate more accurately from chassis number.
Trim is Fall red and black
Paint is India Ivory over Empress Maroon
ID plate has a couple of errors
FC 229 12278 A - the A denotes Adelaide
paints are 256 7770 and 253 2039
