Title: speedo cable
Post by: NES304 on January 21, 2007, 11:59:20 PM
I know the speedo cable goes from the gear box to the back of the Speedo but what path does it take to get there? Doesn't say in the book?
cheers

Hi,

just looked it follows the choke cable and once out the fire wall goes down under the accelerator connections on the wall under the body and into the gear box

hope this helps

Thanks mate, does it go under or over the gearbox (as it starts from the passenger side of the gearbox)

Nes
It should go over the gearbox and the K frame from memory. There is also a metal tag to hold it in place to the floor between  the two LHS trailing ends of the K frame.

as it goes from the left hand side of the gear box it moves along the top of the right hand falk of the Lh subframe and up along the fire wall, there is a clip on the fire wall which is near the throttle rods. At this point the cable goes under those rods and up to the hole in the fire wall where the choke cable comes from.
