I need to know if the way you bolt a grey motor to an engine stand is via the bolt holes in the flywheel, or the bolt holes in the back of the motor that the clutch bellhousing is fixed through. If it's the second option, you would need very long bolts to clear the flywheel (which sits proud of the rear of the motor). Thanks, R. Title: Re: engine stand query Post by: fe hotrod on January 11, 2007, 01:37:54 AM ;)RABBITOH,i wouldnt suggest hanging it of the flywheel,or the rear of the bellhousing, remove the flywheel(not a hard job)and bolt it where the g/box would bolt on,its much safer that way,and if you need to turn the motor over by hand the flywheel wont foul on the engine stand!!thats the way i have allways done it!!cheers jamie ;)
