Most places have them and they are quite cheap.
I know what you mean when you have trouble because of the deep padding, but you just have to compress it as best you can as you push the clip with the tool Ken Title: Re: How do you remove internal door handles Post by: minifcvan on December 22, 2006, 09:27:06 AM hi mate go to repco and buy the tool its about 10.00 and put the tool donw the same way the handle goe's (the lever) and it will pop straight out..cheers mark

(http://imageserver.isnweb.com/KDT431.jpg) And for $10, I wouldn't advocate bothering trying to make your own. I inherited a home-made job with my first FC, and it was useless. The proper ones are made of decent steel that's thin, but doesn't flare at the ends. Once you get the tines in between the washer and the handle, give it a slight twist and you'll be able to see the circlip. More than once I've discovered one that had been fitted back-to-front this way. Another tip: cover the right-angled end with electrical tape: it's awfully easy to scratch paint with... cheers RET [edit: better pic] Title: Re: How do you remove internal door handles Post by: HAD 708 on December 24, 2006, 08:45:10 AM Scratch paint and rip vinyl door trims!!!!!!
