Title: cheap hot rod movies
Post by: fccool59 on December 18, 2006, 10:56:00 AM
I have found a few odd movies in the last few years amongst cheap DVD's so I always check out the cheapies.
Last year i bought "the choppers" from go lo for $4, it had a subaru wrx or something on the cover but its a movie from about 1957 with a cool hot rod that is about a gang that goes around stripping cars and selling the parts to a wrecking yard. I wonder how many people bought it thinking it was like a mix of subaru's and the west coast choppers.
Today i picked up "the wild ride" from k mart, the price checker thing didnt work so i just thought stuff it, hopefully its not too dear. it turned out to be $2, if you get it you might aswell pick up "psycho beach party"for the hell of it  wich is also $2 and is a b grade style surf movie set around i think 1961.
just a warning but, if you are into the latest specail effects and surround sound you might not like this stuff but if you like traditional hot rods you will probably love it for the price.

Hey Leon.
Nice scores.
I have both the Choppers and Wild Ride on DVD, cool old movies. A great price also.
Wild Ride stars a very young Jack Nicholson as the baddie gang member. Lots of illegal car racing and the usual bad v's evil.
