Post by: fcutekeen on November 12, 2006, 06:19:51 AM
hey guys,
just wondering if an fc grill and indicator housings fit on fe front guards. if they dont, then do the fc front guards fit on the fe subframe easily.
cheers

they do, you will need to change the holes but although many will argue, the FE grill is usually more desirable.

You could have left the word "grill" out and still said a mouthful, fccool59!

The fe and fc grill surround frames are different.

you can stick an FC front on an FE, or vice versa.

i spent ages fixing FC stuff back to FE.  :P

There are a couple of points to observe when putting FC indicators on FE guards
A. The globe hole needs to be filled and moved higher up on the mudguard.  If you dont fill the old hole then muddy water from the front wheels will splash through and run down the guard below the light.
B. The shape of the FE guard is a little bit different to the FC guard where the park lamp bolts on and you may need to use some spacer washers or a little bit of cosmetic work to get the FC parklight to sit correctly on the FE guard.
