Hi all, now I've started my new FC project,  it's got me thinking about my old FC. Perhaps one of the Perth members may have come across it. It was sold in 1992 for $600 (she thought that was a fair price!) my mum in Rivervale. It was stripped down rolling shell. Monza red paint was still on the roof. It was distincive in that it had flared rear guards, twin Jaguar XJS fuel fillers recessed behind the rear windscreen. All rust was removed and the boot floor had fuel tank and wheel well removed. Inside had been painted in black tar. It came with a new 208 race motor, triple xu-1 strombergs and other parts. I would love to know what happened to her.

Bit of extra info:

The engine block was fully rebuilt. I bought it from a guy in Armadale who dragged an EH. It was his spare bottom end and he needed some cash, it had the best of everything. I bought a brand new Stage 3 Yella Terra head for it, and the whole kit was painted red and had the usual chrome accessories (oil pump cover, rocker, side plates etc). The triple carbies were all rebuilt and as I left for the Navy I was in the middle of detailing them, so 2 of them were painted in gloss red paint, the 3rd was not painted. It had a 3 speed box with floor shift. HR drums all round and they were near new, having been fully rebuild a year earlier.

The old rego plates from memory were still on the bumpers, 6XG-953 I'm pretty sure it was. There was a gemini fuel tank to be mounted behind the back seat. It had a sports steering wheel with original centre cap and a home made boss kit.

Hi Stewy,

Thanks for the link. It's not Bob's car, I know of his and it's eerily similar, same fillers in the same place, but I only had flared rear guards. I'm pretty sure Bob's car was around at the same time I was building mine, I remember seeing it in a magazine and thinking "damn, he took my idea"! haha. Cheers.
