Note that the car has a dark dash top, this would not be like this if the dash had original paint, it would extend onto the doors. There appears to be some paint on the column support rubber

A follow up on the interior Paint Colours
All 1956 cars had colour matched Dash Tops (including ash tray lid)
On Standards and Business Models, this the Body Colour
On Specials it either matched the roof (some two tone schemes) or was a 'special' interior colour.
The dashtop colour extended to include upper doors, centre pillar (on two tone cars) and included the windscreen side garnish.
On this particular car (Breton Blue over Cadot Grey) the 'special' interior colour was the upper body colour - ie Breton Blue.
I would speculate that when the car was resprayed, everything except the dash top was resprayed Elk Blue.
The dash top was left because it was darker, and by this stage all FE-FC's (except for early FE's) had the standardised grey dash top.
Thus I believe the dash top is still (and it looks that way) Breton Blue.
Cheers

Precisely Geoff, The respray on this car must have been quite a comprehensive job when done - but it must have been a few years ago now!
