Can anyone recommend someone in Sydney to rechrome diecast?

Or better still, does someone have a NOS or REALLY good (no pitting and shiny) FC Special Sedan boot badge (chrome surround)?

Thanks,

Craig

G'Day Craig
I know this place is not in Sydney but Harrisons in Brisbane reckon they can get even corroded diecast effectally rechromed and other a five year guarantee on this work.
They may since you are outof town spill their source to you
Let us know how you get on

Hi Craig,
There is a chrome plater in Queanbeyan I use and recomend, Electroplating technology. He has done my grille badge and I am really happy with it, makes the overlay badge look good. He is now doing my boot badge, bonnet mascot, fin extenders and headlight surounds. He does alot of work for motorbikes, all the jobs he has done for me and friends has been really good. He gives a discount for the local FE - HR club

If you want more info let me know.

Thanks for the responses.

Gree I'll await your contact about the badge you have tucked away.

I've sent an email off to Harrisons so I'll see what they come back with, but the Queenbeyan option sounds good as well Tongue. Chris, can you get me more details?

Appreciate your assistance.

Cheers,

Craig.

Hey Craig.
I just dropped off some bumper sections to All Metal Bumpers for chroming. Cost $110 + GST. 2 week turn around.
Leon recommended them to me as he had his chrome work done by them a year ago and is still happy. 1 of the guys is located out here near Campbelltown, and they will pick up. Their diecast looked good at the swap. I have been looking for a place....tried 3 others and not happy. I will let you know.
Regards
Alex

Hey Craig ,Talking to the guys in the Rod Club the other day about rechroming and found that 90% of them use Electroplating Technology as Chris suggests.
As you might know Hot Rodders can be pretty darn pickie and will turn up with 75 year old stuff.
This guy gives it a double Copper coating to give that deep deep chrome unlike the cheap shallow chrome that isnt dipped at all offa cheaper dealers.
