It's basically a panel van that has had windows cut into the sides, This was done by various companies, in NSW Canopy Industries, in Victoria it was Baileys Motor Body Builders.
As well as side glass it was also possible to add rear seats & even a rear side door, for less dosh than buying a wagon
A lot of vans have had the glass treatment, so much so that I think they would out number original all metal side vans, some have removed the glass & reinstalled the metal sides.

Mc Bean has sent a pic of a
2 door wagon with a folding Canopie Industries rear seat, note the round bar or pipe supports between the windows
Tell us more Andy, is it an FE or FC

Is the fold back and up seat as per the above pic rare or are they fairly common with this type of modification ? My van has one but I have never seen any like it before. The van has two doors and full windows . Wagon windows at the back and "Denning" sliding windows between the B and C pillars where the rear doors would be on a wagon . I think it was a windowless van from the factory but I'm not sure.

Most vans left the factory with rear glass in the tailgate (option 333) on the ID plate, They all had no windows in the sides.
GMH dealerships had close ties with body builders in the 50's and they would arrange for your new van to have windows fitted to suit your needs on purchase.
So even though the van had no windows when built, it would have side glass fitted to your order when you picked it up.
The rear seat fitment is quite rare.
