The wibroc exterior mounted door mirror I have has a frosted stem like pitted chrome
Others that I have seen are the same
Is this how they were originally or is the chrome actually pitted?

Hi there,

If you can post a picture of the mirror I can check my Wibroc catalogues to see which mirror you have and what its original appearance was.  They made a wide range with a variety of features.

Cheers

I don't think any mirrors from the period had a frosted chrome appearance, I would think that your mirror is pitted.

I will take a photo tonight and possibly send it to one of you gents to put up (I have had a go before and failed)
The frosting/pitting effect looks to even on this mirror stalk to be chrome pitting to me

Cheers
