Hi Peter. I have one here, however, the ball retaining circlip is broken. The fork has been powder coated & comes with spring & cover plates. You would need to locate a circlip. I have sent photos should you be interested, Cost $20 + postage. Kevin.
304  For Sale and Wanted / Other Stuff For Sale / Car area Display for sale. on: February 16, 2019, 08:36:43 PM

I am offering for sale, my Show Car fenced area, used to display my vehicles . The fence is made from PVC pipes which can be assembled very easily using a small rubber mallet,[ which is included ]. The lower rail has vinyl pouches purpose made to hold clay pavers. These provide extra stability should the fence be bumped. They are attached by velcro flaps . The floor covering is silver velour which hides the leads to each of the 4 spotlights.  The fence can be carried/stored in the purpose built vinyl carry bags. The fence is located in Ballina, NSW   Pick up price $200.  I have attempted to include photos.
I can be contacted via this Forum.  Kevin.
305  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: FE/FC Diff Ratios. on: February 01, 2019, 08:36:58 AM
Finally got the "over revving" issue sorted. The ute had an extra fan fitted to the front of the radiator, which ran noisy. The diff is 3.89. Front wheel brakes were grabbing when reversing which explains why the ute struggled to get going in reverse. He thought the gear ratios were incorrect. All good now.  Kevin.
306  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Rear main bearing oil seals (yet again) on: January 29, 2019, 09:14:29 AM
Another suggestion to  ease the frustration. Don't overfill the sump.  Run the oil level just over 1/2 way between the "add" & "full" mark.  Kevin.
307  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: FE/FC Diff Ratios. on: January 28, 2019, 09:21:12 PM
When this is sorted, I will let you know. Thanks Kevin.
308  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: FE/FC Diff Ratios. on: January 28, 2019, 11:05:50 AM
Thanks Ken. A Club Member up here has just brought home an FE Ute, which I think is revving far too much @ 50mph.  I will check out the diff housing & go from there. Maybe a faulty gear box revamp! Kevin.
309  Technical Board / General Technical / FE/FC Diff Ratios. on: January 28, 2019, 09:44:41 AM
A question for the Mechanics on the Forum.  What diff ratios were used in the commercials & sedans in the FE/FC Models?  I always thought it was the same for all, ie: 3.89  I thought the 3.36 ratio was used in the EK Auto & 3.08 with the 4 speed boxes. Was a 3.55 used in commercials?  Were lower ratios used in delivery vehicles?    Cheers Kevin.

The Vanguard, [3rd from the top], was called "the Spacemaster], it carried the same engine as the famous grey fergie tractor.

What about the cars?  My guess is FE/FC standard wagon, Austin A40, Hillman minx , Austin A30,  Austin A70,  Vanguard 10 & some "sloper", [ maybe a dodge?]. Then the FC 225, possibly a 3 tone .
318  General / Events, Shows etc / Re: 2018 auction on: August 22, 2018, 10:28:17 AM
Congratulations to Ken & the Vic's Team for a great event.  An amazing experience for my son, who was able to take time off work to travel down with me. 5 days of drive & catch-up. Steve managed the swap tables while I concentrated on the Auction items. Thankyou to  the members who assisted me with the item set-up prior to the Auction. An opportunity to show Steve how an event like this operates with the assistance of club members who "pitch in" & help with all the things that need to get done in such a small amount of time. I was happy that my collection found new homes.  I have reduced my Museum Display to a point where I can now manage it on a Suburban block. After sorting through the remaining "priceless junk", I can  consider participating again in the future. Thanks Ken for your  advice & thoughts with preparations in the month prior to this event. Regards Kevin.
