Hi people,

I am about to complete my Nats entry and am considering my accomodation options.

1) anybody here needing somebody to share a cabin to make up numbers etc..?

2) is there anybody here planning to camp in a tent, or would this be a lonely option should i pursue this option??

Cheers

Ed

Ed, a number of people (my family included) will be camping at the CYC - you're right, this is probably the cheapest option.

Hi Scott,
Camping is cheaper if there is more than 1 person. $36.75 per night for 2 people for a powered site. Each additional person costs $6.75 per night after 2.
Hope this answers your question. Remember time is running out.
  Cheers Tony.

Hi Tony,
thanks for that it helps. My son will be coming with me. kids pricing versus adult's is that 13 and under or 13 and over, as he is thirteen.

Hey Ed,

Ben Wall some coaxing to come along to the nats and also needs a buddy to stay with.  He was thinking about camping in a tent at the CYC.  He was going to bring the HR down. Maybe give him a call.  If you want his number let me know.

Ed Hi
I've just paid accomadation for Ben, Josh, Craige and myself at the CYC and you are more than welcome to share with us. I,m sure the room will sleep more than 4 people. If you like just give Ben a ring tonight after 7PM.

If you are going to ring Dina ask her about the rooms and if they do take more than 4 people tell her you are going in with Ben,s group. If you like

Hi guys,
The rooms take up to 6 people, but there's no way Ben will fit in one of those bunk beds!  At Queensland he ended up sleeping on the couch coz his feet stuck waaaay out the end of the bed!
Come to think of it, do they make extra long tents??
Cat

PS Ed, I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing this car of yours!

Hey Cat,

Looking forward to catching up at the Nats,

Tents come in a variety of sizes I think Ben would need a BEHEMOTH size tho.. heh heh.

The wagon is on track, was spannering away last nite till about 1am, just doing all those "little" jobs...  somehow I ended up taking the exhaust system out, draining the block and doing a minor re-wire!  This accounts for all those lost years i suppose.

Let's hope the old bus travels Ok to the Island.

Cheers

Hey Ed,

Maybe Ben could fit in two tents...one for his top half and one for his feet!!   Grin

And however the 'old bus' arrives it will be a welcome sight after missing out last year!

And the nats.......It's going to be awesome!

See you soon,

I still have to do my accomadation, we have 2 adults and 3 kids, 2 kids usually share a bed when we go away as do my wife and I but this probably makes no difference to price.
I dont quite get the camping prices, I would prefer to travel with as little as possible as luggage for 5 can get pretty big but if there is a big difference in price for a tent I will jam the tent in the car somewere.
hoping to get this sorted by saturday.

Hi FCCOOL,
I'll explain the pricing at CYC for you.  A tent site for 2 people is $36-75 per night.  Each additional person is $6-75 per night, so for your family of 5 it will cost $57 per night - BYO everything.  Breakfast is $9 per adult, or $6 for kids between 3-12.
For a cabin at CYC adults pay $40 for bed & breakfast.  Children are $26-.  I don't know how old your children are, so can't give you a definate price, but you can work it out.  We still have one room left that sleeps 6 with an ensuite, so be quick if you want it - I can't hold it for you.
Regards,
Dina.
