Post by: Frankiej on May 09, 2017, 10:15:39 PM
I have a couple of questions if anyone can help, if I'm using a vl diff what angle should it be at with my v6 conversion and if I use a split tailshaft does the diff angle change at all thanks.

Hi Frankie J
Mate I have been told 5 degrees but that could be wrong but it is about what I have set for my ute project however I'm going to use a single piece drive shaft as I did with my sedan the middle bearing in the commodore tailshaft is a week point I have just replaced one in a VYSS that a mate and I bought cheap to flip and it was shot.

Regards
Neil H

I put the split tailshaft into the van when I did it, it vibrated badly. Changed to a 1 piece shaft and never looked back.

Same when I did the RB30 and auto conversion in my wagon - 2 piece was a shocker, got a one piece made and no problems at all....
