im putting the original hose clamps back on my FE,what is the correct colour,these are the old spring type,also are the top and bottom the same diameter??? Huh

they were originally yellow, you should see some of the paint still on them

As far as I'm aware the yellow spring type were introduced with FB. I believe that before this they had a screw type clamp. Ken may be able to enlighten us?

Most early pics show the band type with nut and bolt, but there is a pic with a twin carb story in Modern Motor I think showing the spring clips
