Hi all have spoken to a few people already on forum, thanks to all for getting me here.Plan is to convert to v8, currently have a Vs ss ute as conversion vehicle have owned this since new and now needs a good home. Have been looking at the conversion kits that are on the market I look forward to hearing thoughts on these.
The start.
hoping not to change to much want to keep it looking original as possible, but drive train and safety.
Cheers
Corey

Thanks jb have read it a few times and the results speak for itself the ute looks awesome.especially the kelpie! A rotisserie do you know of one that some one would sell or some basic diagrams for me to make one. I was looking at the chassis kits from v6 conversions have you heard about these.

I made the rotisserie from 2 engine stands and scrap steel lol. Not too hard to do.
There are a few of us now with V6 conversion from ends, and once you have changed the shocks and then put the correctly rated springs in for the weight they are on.
There is nothing on them that resembles a steering stop though and not sure how to fabricate it.
I moved the engine back in the frame so had to make a new sump from 2 as you saw.
Main benefit is the VT wheel hubs and brakes bolts straight on. I would recommend the booster and pedal assembly also. Done this twice now for a good result.

have also read injectedv8 build and I think that path is worth further exploring ,my aim is to keep the paint and exterior untouched as I think it tells a story of its history.

And I can vouch for the build quality and driveability of JB's ute - it is an awesome car to drive. So definitely take notice of what he did and how he did it and you can't go wrong. Plenty of good help and advice on this forum too.
Cheers, Graeme

the wealth of knowledge here is amazing, and you would be a fool not to take it on board, and ask questions.v6 conversion offer a 5.0 conversion kit which includes wiring and speedo kits has anyone used or seen them and how do they compare to CRS chassis kits?
