Hey that thing has got air con also!  You can see the plumbing running up where the wiper motor is.  That would have been quite a mod 20 years ago!

They're not trailer indicators.  They're front indicators off a Morris 1100.

Uggh!

Are you blokes seriously suggesting this looks better than a standard one ???

If so, why isn't everyone in the US putting quads on Tri Chevys ::)

cheers
John

I've got a pick of that car in a VERY old edition of custom rodder here at home SOMEWHERE ???

I remembered the international truck lights it had when I bought the edition of custom rodder in the '70's.

Each to their own, there are probably people who think Tilli Kits look ugly (probably not many though  ;D )

Hi Leon.

The yellow one? I've still got it - and a number of other early Hot Wheels ;D

The canted quads look good as in the photo and as you have done them on your car. I just think its difficult to make those Inter quads look good on a car, because you really have to mount them vertically.

I flicked through my early Custom Rodders this morning looking at cars with the Inter quads fitted. I didn't think any of them looked too good, but they do fit better on humpies than on FE/FCs, IMHO.

Cheers
John

well I like the look but each to his/her own as you say
just a couple thoughts or ideas that I have and would like to do if/when the old girl is here and me and my sons Alex 15 and Xavier 12 start to rebuild her I was going to go the lo-rider look with rear wheel arch covers and lots of chrome VE Commodore Purple with mustard pinstrip flames down the side. Inside mustard with purple trim with no  or little chrome.

so you dont like quad lights eh john?
:P
how many of these old customs do you see these days? most have gone to the scrapyard.

did you check it out Trev? bring it to the nats!

I'd like to experiment with a new style of quads but not like any of these traditional styles...  and probably not on my wagon...

Cheers

Ed

Yes and I am going to get it 2 extra engines plus other bits and pieces I will be cataloging the un-needed stuff so I can list it here.
Something else I was think about doing is making the top head light hi/lo beam and putting spotties in the lower ones, I have some here that are the same size as the lights that are there already

Just had a look at this post it is not a ex Army car is it? It looks very similar to Ken Mcleans old car that was originally customised in the 70's as well, similar to this. Ken??? Also do we know the spec plate details?
