I saw a new old stock picnic tray at a swap several years back. still in it's original box with fitting instructions. It was $140 from memory. Wish I had bought it now.
I had a NOS Smiths clock that fit in an accessory panel with temp guage below the steering column. Sadly I lost this item when some animal stole my FC. Never saw the car again.

WoooHooo!!!
Well done SA members.
I know what it feels like to have your FC stolen. Not a good feeling. Don't know what it feels like to find it again though. *%$#^ BA$T^*#$

Hi SGO.
WOW!!! Lot's of work gone into your FC. Looks like a lot more still to be done. Some very interesting ideas. Looking forward to seeing it when it's done.

Hi Digger.
Nice looking car you got there. Remember, no matter how much rust you cut out, you can always count on more down the road. That's just the way it is for a daily driver.

Thanks for the info Ken. That would make those painted grills pretty rare.

Hi Chris.
I can help out with the instructions for the demister vents. I also have a copy of the template for the heater, showing where to drill the holes in the firewall. I will scan them and email them to you in the next few days.
If anyone else would like a copy, email me at customfc@rodrun.com.

Alex

Hi Stinky.
My car has had a few different paint jobs, including satin black and flat black. I have included a couple of different shots to give you some idea. With the flat black, the paint tended to turn grey after a while and need a fresh top coat. When the flames went on, this ment a lot of work to freshen up the black (masking flames) so I decided for a fresh look in purple. This is the colour I always intended.

Satin black, my car' first full paint job, 93.

The addition of scallops to break up the all black. Note my old custom grill. This grill is now in Craig Jordan's FE.

Flat black in 94.

Flames added for the 5th Nats in 95.

Alex

Thought you might like to see a pix of the Tilli 'Styletone' set up on FC. The jewel that Ken mentioned is on the front door above the trim and below the door handle.

Here also is a copy of a Tilli advert from Aug 58.

Here is a close up of the 'Styletone' FC in the advert.

Hey Ken, how about some pix of the other combos.

Hi Les.
Some nice photos there.
Love the FE interior shot.

Here's another from my album.

Jason
I have a fascination with production line photos and have collected them for around 19 years. They come from different publications, books, magazines etc. It's been great putting them all together for all to enjoy.
If anyone has an image that is not in my album, I would love to get a copy to include.
Regards
Alex
4371  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: fe front guard on: February 18, 2002, 10:19:18 AM
Hi Mike.
Sounds like what you have there is a FE guard from a standard sedan/wagon or utility or van. The 'Holden' script was found on the FE, a short spear appeared on FC's. See Richard's reply on your previous post.

Hey Doug
Don't worry about what happened to your old car......just build another one today. Sounds like it was a cool car in it's day and would be just as cool today.

Here is a pic of Paul Grech's FC that has a Tilli 'Crestline' kit installed.

BTW, that's my FC with Paul's at the drags, back in the days when it was flat black and still had the not so trusty old grey.

 Shocked
Hi Coolaride.
Nice cars. Tell us more about them. How long have you had them? How did you come across them? Did the sedan come with that flash? Why didn't you join us at the FE FC Nats?

Hi Tony.
First time I heard about that trick. Will have to check out some others. If it is only on yours, my guess is that it is a smart previous owner who was worried about the car being stolen and re-birthed. No-one else would think to look there.

You GO Leon!!!
Sounds like your on the right track. Wink
If it's black with flames, you won't need brakes, 'cause everyone will get out of your way.

Hi Jason.
Your van is coming along nicely. Noticed you removed the windows from the side. Nice to see some pix, keep us updated.
