Can anyone recommend a good operator in Melb. metro region, who they have used in restoring our type of cars? Huh

you could try Performance Coachworks in Berwick (out beyond Dandenong..not exactly Metro)...

I'm very pleased with the stuff they did for me (http://www.fefcholden.org.au/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=album;action=display;num=1082807448;start=13) but they only do body work, no spray painting.
