Fantastic Glenn. One of my favourite FC colour combos, Cambridge Blue over Teal. Your cars are beautifully presented. I like the S model too Wink

Hi, Trucks in the background are a Morris Commercial and a Bedford, I think. They are on permanent display at the Maffra Shed museum in East Gippsland, Victoria. The "S" model Valiant seen in one photo is also ours, a genuine  69000 mile car. Also have a genuine HQ Sandman ute as the next project. Cheers, Glenn

Wow the red FC is loaded with period perfect accesories, even the "sports"mirror on the drivers door looks great (haven't seen one for ages) the peep mirrors seem to be the mirror of choice nowdays. You have every right to feel proud of your collection, I guess the only downside would be which one will I drive next. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

P.S. Extra glad you stayed with grey power Wink

Hi
Very nice love the stocky and it is a rare color in Vic not seen often at all! Seems to be more common north of the border, well done and thanks for the pics.

Ditto here, Simon, but the stocky looks very nice, and I'd like to see more pics of the poor neglected green wallflower on the far end of the line too...

HELLO AGAIN, MORE PICS OF OUR CARS AS PROMISED.

THIS IS THE RED CAR AS FOUND IN 2001.

CAR WAS VERY SOLID WHEN FOUND, HERE DURING DISMANTLING.

THIS IS ABOUT AS FAR APART AS WE WENT. SOME RUST CUT OUT AT THIS POINT.

CAR IS STARTING TO LOOK GOOD AND STRAIGHT AGAIN.

BACK ON ITS WHEELS AND HOME FOR FITTING GUARDS, MOTOR, ETC.

FAIRLY WELL WORKED GREY TO FILL THE BAY.

MY GOD IT WAS RED AS IT CAME OUT OF THE PAINT SHOP.

SOON A BIT OF CHROME HELPED.

FINAL TOUCHES TO THE BOOT AND INTERIOR

I'LL POST SOME PICS OF OUR OTHER CARS SOON.

HERE ARE A COUPLE OF PHOTOS OF OUR "S" VALIANT THAT SOME WERE INTERESTED IN. WE OBTAINED THIS CAR FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER, AND HAVE REPAINTED THE BODY TO ORIGINAL COLOR AS IT WAS WORN OFF. THE BODY IS TOTALLY RUST FREE AND ORIGINAL, AS IS THE INTERIOR AND ENGINE. DONE 69000 MILES.

THIS ONE IS OF THE CREW IN "THE CAVE", THE HQ SANDMAN TO THR RIGHT IS THE NEXT PROJECT.

HERE ID THE SANDMAN UTE, A BLOODY BIG JOB THIS ONE!

HOPE I HAVE'NT BORED YOU, CHEERS GLENN

HI FE 4 ME, THANKS FOR THE INTEREST. SANDMAN UTES WERE PART OF THE HQ,HJ,HX & HZ LINE UP, ONLY ABOUT 127 WERE MADE IN HQ. MANY WERE 6 CYL, COLUMN CHANGE. SANDMAN UTES WERE MORE POPULAR IN HJ & HX SERIES. THIS ONE OF OURS IS A 253 V8, 4 SPEED AND A BELMONT MODEL BASE.  ALL AUTO VALIANTS FROM "R" TO "AP6" HAD THE PUSH BUTTON AUTO CHANGE ON THE DASH PANEL, THIS WAS A CARRY OVER FEATURE FROM THE EARLIER CHRYSLER "ROYAL" MODELS, AND WAS MORE POPULAR THAN THE 3 SPEED MANUAL COLUMN SHIFT LIKE OUR GREEN ONE. CHEERS, GLENN
