With the van Fred, I cut the hump out of the V6 and grafted it into the floor, I then used the commodore shifter, handbrake assembly and the centre console.

I was about to buy a basic looking B&M shifter (until my wife made me use the column shifter!)

I have done quite a lot and prefer the directness of the linkage . The trick is to shorten the commodore shifter lever by the same ratio as you shorten the box linkage , this will allow you to lower the shifter and get closer to the box . These shifters I have made using the early isolator switch [external on the side of the stick] and the first is home made out of a tent peg and Arial bezel on the VN_VR shifter base and the other is obviously later pistol grip style . I find that the cable linkages can be a little clumsy and the cable untidy. If you need any info just PM or ring 0755477094 .Cheers Haydn

Hi Fred
I did the same as JB with my sedan but with my FB/EK ute I'm doing I'm going to use a Lokar shifter they make one for the TH700 and it mounts up really nice.

If you can get onto the FB/EK forum have a look at Nomads Kustom FB Sedan page 28 shows how it mounts.

Regards
Neil H
