you could have done a timing gear which would put your timing out
82  General / General Board / Re: FCZOOM on: August 17, 2011, 09:34:52 PM
Does anyone have any idea what 1/4 mile time FCZOOM was doing?
83  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: FC Ute on: August 17, 2011, 09:31:29 PM
To all those that took the time to enquire about my ute i am sorry to say that i have decided NOT to sell her. I thought i would hold onto her in case one of my kids shows an interest in the old cars in the future.
Thanks again for your enquiries and the condolences from others.
Cheers Scotty

I've just come across this topic and reckon it's a great idea, count me in.

G'day Eddy,
I also live in the Albury area, so it would be great to catch up and talk cars. I will send you a PM.
cheers Scotty

Have you thought of mounting them under the car and have the pedal arms going through the floor?
88  General / Events, Shows etc / Re: Grey Pride run - Pics added. on: May 16, 2011, 07:48:46 PM
Here is one of the Victorian cars that made the trip,

I travelled over 900klms to go to and from this show, and it was worth every one of them. It had everything, great cars, great weather and most of all EXCEPTIONAL COMPANY. It was so good to reacquaint friendships with so many top people from both Sydney and Canberra, or NSW and ACT, whichever way you want to look at it.
Thanks to both Graham and Kathy Pryce for your warm hospitality, you two are Gold, and to all the people involved in  organising the day.
For those who haven't been before, as Molly Meldrum would say, do yourself a favour and go for a drive, it is actually fun cruising on a long trip in an FC.
Cheers everyone

Scotty
89  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Fuel injecting a grey motor on: May 11, 2011, 06:33:57 PM
On the decision on whether to inject or not, i recently drove my FC on a trip and got 9ltrs to 100klms with twin Zenith carbys. But i am still going to go down the injection path at a later date just to say i could do it.
90  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Gearbox crossmembers on: April 07, 2011, 06:10:53 PM
I was going to suggest looking at an EK auto floor but "The Butler" just explained it. That is basically how an EK is done except the EK one is spot welded to the floor.
91  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Damn rear shock mount on: April 05, 2011, 08:11:59 PM
Mark,
if you need a replacement, then i am wrecking a car at the moment and i could cut out the mount for you.
92  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / FC Ute on: March 29, 2011, 09:06:21 PM
It is with much reluctance that i am putting this post on here. For those that know me would realise that i don't normally sell my cars, but i must be realistic and know that i probably won't get the time to ever get around to rebuilding my beloved FC Ute.
I have owned this car since 1993, and since then it has been through many incarnations. It has always been registered until recently and it was with much reluctance that i had the registration suspended. It has been through many good times with me and never let me down, not once.

It is an FC Ute( and yes i know it has FE indicators) that has been fitted with a 283 Chev which has been fully balanced and has power pack heads, Turbo 350 trans with a stage 2 shift kit and Borg Warner diff.

It has an HR front end with lowered springs and HQ Disc Brakes and Girlock Calipers.

It runs on straight gas and has 2 gas tanks mounted under the rear floor. The car runs and drives great.

I am located in Albury/ Wodonga and you can contact me with a PM. The asking price is around the $13,000 mark.

That sounds right, i had to do the same for mine.
Great to hear about the engineer, it makes doing modifications more promising if you want to register it.
94  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: Gunnedah clearing sale on: March 24, 2011, 08:21:21 PM
Did anyone go to this?
95  General / Events, Shows etc / Re: grey pride run on: March 20, 2011, 09:04:55 PM
And (forgive me for my ignorance) where is it?

Its more fun smoking tyres than harnesses, Hey JB
97  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: Old Seat Belts on: February 17, 2011, 09:15:03 PM
Thanks Leigh, but i'm after old style belts in good condition, not inertia reels. I need 2 lap sashes and 4 laps.
fewithrb30, i don't know what they are worth, but if you are thinking of keeping them then just hang onto them until you make up your mind with the car.
98  General / Events, Shows etc / Re: Sunday 13th February, SMASA Show 'n' Shine on: February 17, 2011, 09:08:33 PM
Is Thommo stil involved? He was the driving force back then to get interstate cars across and help out with accommodation. We had a ball over there, some of the best memories from car shows. And great people.
99  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Old Seat Belts on: February 16, 2011, 08:22:42 PM
Hi everyone,
does anyone out there have any old seat belts they don't intend on using? I need some for the Hayshed FC before we go to Perth.
Cheers Scotty
