Hi can someone post a photo of the linkage between the carby and the rod on the firewall please I'm missing it and not sure what it looks like the workshop manual doesn't really show it (FC wagon)
Thanks Gordon

There was an early throttle linkage for sideplates that had a spring loaded adjustable linkage between the lever from the firewall and the carby . that seemed to allow for engine movement but I can't recall which model had it [I'm getting old] I seem to recall a slotted bracket that had a hook through where that spring is hooked and an elongated slot where a bolt went through [where that rod is ] so adjustable there with a spring loaded bracket at the other end where the carby [butterfly] was attached with a washer and split pin . If this photo is complete then could someone tell me which model had the extra bracket . Cheers Haydn

Haydn is on the money here, the pics shown are of the FE set up. A problem with this arrangement was that under conditions of excessive engine "rock" the accelerator would operate independently of pedal position.
The FC model incorporated a fix which moved the roll centre of the accelerator in towards the centre of the engine. There is a slotted bracket included.
I don't have a pic of installation in a car but have a linkage here I can photograph if needed.
