G'day Guys I've been extremely remiss in keeping (those interested) up-to-date with our Australian Tour. As many of your may know, we first left our Canberra home in July 2009 (when our son Erik was just six weeks old). We completed our first lap of Australia in time for the 2010 FE-FC Holden Nationals in Orange. At the end of 2010, (when our second son Oscar was also just six week old) we headed off on our second lap of Australia. After six months in Far-North QLD and another six months in Tasmania, we returned to "Australia" to tow our FC wagon over to Perth for the 2012 FE-FC Holden Nationals. Afterwards, (and still with our wagon), we continued north along the coast of WA, down through NT & SA and are now working our way across VIC & NSW towards the ACT. During our three years in our Winnebago, we have bumped into and visited some cool sites and fellow FE-FC Holden owners, so I'd like to belatedly (with my apologies) share some of these photos with you. Today, whilst camped on the banks of the Murray River near Nyah Victoria. A very nice local bloke named Glen came over to visit us in his FC Sedan. It's been on the road for two years after a 14 year rebuild. Glen is a member of the local vintage machinery club and also owns an FJ Holden. I've let him know about the Easter 2014 Nationals in Hobart. Cheers, Tim

G'day Guys Bec and I took the boys to Pinjarra Paceway today for the IX All Australian Car Day. It was a great day with over 200 cars on display, including many Holdens and 25+ Leyland P76s! I will post some images on Holden Heaven soon. However, just for now, here's a few photos of a new FC wagon some WA/Forum members might not have seen? Ren & Bonnie own a HR ute, so when they received the news 12 months ago that their first grand-daughter was on the way, Ren bought this FC wagon for Bonnie to use as a daily driver that could fit a child-seat. It's got a 186 red motor, trimatic gearbox and Ren has recently resprayed it. Ren & Bonnie are a nice friendly couple, so I've invited them to seek out the WA Club, FE-FC Forum and next FE-FC Holden Nationals in Tasmania. I've also include a pic of the ID plate for Ken & Co. Cheers, Tim

This is extremely embarrassing but I omitted one very deserving Top Ten awardee! Graham Cran, Rossa Corsa Red, Street FC Panelvan Mackay QLD Graham, please accept my sincerest apologies for this. I think I got thrown when double-checking my list as I had your panelvan under the Entrant's Choice Award. Congratulations mate, your awesome bright red panel van with cool mural was clearly the crowd favourite during the weekend. It was also a favourite of mine and impossible for me to look at without imagining "Holden Heaven" sign-written down the side of it. Please put me on the long list of people wanting to buy it if you ever want to sell it! Cheers, Tim [Edit: photos and trophy details added to original post.]

Welcome Home Hotlips! See you in Tassie, if not before. We'll be heading home via SA in July and if we've got time we'd love to come along to a club meeting on our way through.
Cheers, Tim
PS. No worries re FE Gary. It took me a while to narrow it down as I'd taken the interior and exterior shots several hours apart. In the end, I could only ID John's car by the hint of Les' white sedan & Mick's red ute in the background.

Thanks Col (& Keith)
We've got the wagon booked in for a carbie service tomorrow morning in Armadale.
Glad to hear you arrived home safely Col & GP. 8,000km during 86 hours puts it all in perspective. We're on target for arrival home in early August via the northern loop of Australia. Bec worked out the distance and it looks like we'll have to crank it up to an average of 80km/day.
See you at the August Club Meeting!
Cheers, Tim

G'day Rod I think it's great (not stalking) if fellow FE-FC Holden owners can spot an interstate FE-FC Holden and say to their partners, "Yeah, that's <insert name> from <insert club> here for <insert event>". We've been camped on a farm in Oakford whilst I catch up with Holden Heaven emails. Yesterday's trip to Fremantle Markets and the fantastic foreshore area was a trade-off for taking the family to today's All Australia Car Day in Pinjarra. Maybe we'll see some more FE-FC Holdens there? http://www.holden.org.au/event/all-australian-car-day-ix/We'll be in WA for another few months yet, very hard to leave such a beautiful state. Cheers, Tim

Thanks for the tip Surferboy (hope you're enjoying your honeymoon and not reading this until much later)
Bec and I are going to take the FC (and the boys) down to Pinjarra for the All Australian Car Day.
Will the FE-FC Holden Car Club of WA be there?
We might even go back to Whiteman Park for the Classic Car Show next weekend too.
Cheers, Tim.

G'day Graham I've had a close trawl through my photos and I think this is the Ascot Grey stock FE sedan that the interior shot was taken from. Entrant Number 2, John Manwaring from Kewdale WA. "Vehicle was bought as it was in 1978. Paint was done and chrome work were required. Apart from the brakes and being respiring, nothing has been restored. Upholstery etc is original. Engine is untouched, having only done 55,000 miles when I bought it" I hope this helps. Cheers, Tim

Fantastic photos Lorene, well done. It was great that you took the time to get every FE-FC Holden and candid shots of all of the entrants and families. A great way for all of us to put faces to the names.
Thanks for all of your and your fellow Nationals Committee's hard work.

Those are some serious miles guys. Hope you're stopping every two hours for a break!
We travelled approximately 20 miles south to a farm stay near Armadale. The drive really took it out of us, so we've decided to rest up for four to five days with some mates from the Winnebago RV Club.
We spent hours yesterday giving the wagon's red motor a tune-up after having a new muffler installed. We checked and rechecked all (and even replaced some) of the plugs, leads, points, filters, mixture screw and idle and got it running really well. However, (the same as during the Nats), if I am to accelerate hard, upon backing off the red motor continues to cough and splutter to a point where it's almost undriveable. If I turn the engine off and on again, it goes away and if I drive smoothly, it stays away. Weird.
Safe trip guys!

Nice work Les Everyone will be feeling sorry for you during their hard interstate slog home this week. Hope the Honeymooners enjoy Hawaii and that the North Queenslanders have a safe and enjoyable trip home across five states. We should get home in about four months...

Bec and I (and Erik & Oscar) will definitely be in Hobart for the 15th FE-FC Holden Nationals. We can't wait to catch up with you all once again. We've already started the journey and will head to Tasmania via every state and territory in Australia visiting the Kimberley WA, Kununurra WA, Kakadu NT, Katherine NT, Kynuna QLD, Kadina SA, Katoomba NSW, Kaleen ACT, Kerang VIC and Kingston TAS. Cheers, Team Tailshaft PS. We're still towing the FC wagon behind our Winnebago so we're not pushing for longest distance travelled
