G'day,

Quick question as I can't find the answer in searches. Is an FE glove box badge background painted red from factory?

 No. just plain Chrome plated. Kevin.

My memory says that the "S" section in Special had black paint fill.

I agree Dr Terry, I have one in really good condition and the background behind the S is black.

The black "S" glovebox badge is FC Special sedan & Wagon only

FE Special Sedan script is Special Sedan is chrome
FE Special Wagon script is Station Sedan also chrome
