The seat belts that you are talking about are a period of sorts after market seat belt.

If you haven't painted the car then the neater way of doing the conversion is to weld into the pillars a plate with a tapped thread in it to accommodate the top of the retractable belt. A non retractable will also suit. I will take a couple of photos of the ute, but I think that there  
is some pics somewhere on here. You get the safety of a belt without the unsightly hole drilled through the pillar.

Got a bit of paint on today,primer putty on the engine bay



painted the steering column



And heres a pic of my bead blaster i built its great for cleaning the small stuff

Well done, those blasters are ideal for that stuff hey. I wish I had one like my father in law does. That colour combo actually doesnt look too bad (and i am being serious), the putty colour against the car colour  Wink

Nice work Blok,what are you painting it in,Acrylic or two pack?I'm guessing Acrylic or you are you planning to bring the rest of the car back to bare metal  Wink  .Looks like you could make it a little bit "wetter" to save you some work.Nice colour,keep up the great work!Jamie.

Yes Jamie its acrylic ,just trying out the sample tin I picked up ,ran out so ill pic up some paint tomorrow and fIinish it off  Undecided

isnt it good to add the clear when the last coat is slightly tacky, so many different opinions on this

Was thinking about that last night fewithrb30 atleast acrylic is easy enough to touch up,mate says let the paint dry then mix 50/50paint and clear then a couple of coats of straight clear ,he has done this to his EK and it looks smick

The paint code is SBE   Viper GTS blue pearl

Hope ive answered all cheers Gary PS rain not much done hope to get to it tomorrow
