OK ..Thanks for your thoughts ..In the dark distant memories of my mind , I seem to recall a kit , basically a pump made by Ferropro ( I think ) and you had to drill holes , pump in fish oil , and fit plastic plugs provided in the drilled holes ..It had a distinct fish smell which would fade away ,when working on my car on a couple of places the heat of the grinder occasionally I got a fish oil smell . I have a tin of Ferropro fish oil , probably had it for 45 yrs ..but no pump/applicator... I am thinking of a garden pump sprayer , Nylex 5 litre plunger pump ..extend the clear PVC tube a bit with a heavier walled tube ,maybe braided air line hose , and fit a 360deg pintle nozzle ..often used in plant nurserys / agriculture ...get some blanking plugs to suit the hole that will be needed to fit the nozzle /tube through and work the tube back and forth in cavities covering internal surface ..Its a wonder some company hasn't come up with such a solution to address this situation..keep well Vern

Rob ..When you have finished all the body repairs , are you planning a rust preventative treatment ,not on the external surfaces inside and out , but inside all the hollow sections , frame , cross members , inside sills and pillars etc ,etc .IF so, with what and how very interested to know ,or other readers who have or intending to do that ...thanks Vern ..

Mate ..so easy to make , if you can drill holes and do bit of weld ,its simple ..bit of heavy flat bar say 50mm W X 75mm L X 8 or 10mm thick , couple of bolts say 75 to 80mm long 6 or 8mm dia and 4 nuts to suit , 1 x machine screw , { bolt with thread up to head ) say 12mm dia thread or bit bigger and nut to suit... 1. drill hole in centre of plate to take the screw, drill two holes on the centre line either side of that hole exactly one inch centre to centre of the larger hole , so now youve got 3 holes in line , put screw thru centre hole and screw nut on few turns, hold it central and weld nut to plate .. 2. the two long bolts , grind off half the head right up to the shaft , grind off most of the remaning hex so as you can do step 3 below , so you should have like a offset half moon on end of bolt , at lead in thread put a hacksaw slot to take a screwdriver . 3. try those bolts half heads in the slot in the hub of the steering wheel , grind what you think is enough and test , the elongated head will wriggle down into the hub and will face inwards. 4. with the welded nut upwards , put a nut on each of the long bolts , put thru plate and put other nuts on other side , put centre bolt thru the welded nut , offer the assembly up to the wheel , allow a few threads on centre bolt to tighten .with screwdriver turn the half head inwards ,adjust long bolt nuts either side till sitting firm and level and nip them there .then tighten the centre bolt on steering shaft to draw wheel off .it may need a firm whack on the centre bolt head to shock and give impact effect .

Wasim ..Further to my earlier posts ..Todays marketing of products is very helpful , full of technical facts and guidance for the enthuasist and blokes who like to do it right ..like BP's fuel marketing campaign last year , they want you to buy their product because " IT BUSTS DIRT " ...WOW !! Just staggering advances in fossil fuels ..cheers Vern .

Wasim ..Given that if your diff and gear box are as close to stock standard as they can be ..The GMH service manual recommends for the transmission ( gear box ) SAE 90 Mineral gear oil ...For the rear axle ( ie the diff ) EP..SAE 90 Hypoid Mineral gear oil ...EP being extreme pressure ..NOTE !!! There is a warning ,with respect to the rear axle .." straight mineral oil gear lubricant must not be used " ...There is no advice that the reverse is unacceptable .. My personal thoughts ...Back in the day there was not the choise of brands and many now promoting their particular additives and features ..I took note of the " higher grade oil being recommended for the rear axle " I have Penrite 120 Hypoid Gear Oil in both diff and box ..keep well Vern ..
