Title: 1960 family FE snap
Post by: ridgey_didge on November 25, 2005, 09:35:58 PM
This is a snap out of my family album, and yes, that's me in the natty blue outfit.  It was taken in 1960 and shows the family FE from that time.  That car was traded for an FB or EK a few years later.  However, its plain to see where my love of the FE started out.

Very cool pic.
Wouldn't you love to know where that FE is today!?
Looks like it has a demister in the front window for those cold Canberra mornings.
Regards
Alex

I fear that FE is long gone, but the one I own now was my grandfathers.  I will search the family slide collection next chance I get to see if any other snaps from that era still exist.  Maybe of the 2 FEs together!
Yes, there is a demister and an aerial, so there must have been a radio in her as well. We lived at Gunning in those days, which is north of Canberra, but same climate - a demister was almost certainly an essential accessory.
Cheers,
David
