Title: Registrations of Interest in FE Sedan parts.
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on April 30, 2003, 02:23:53 AM
I will be bringing an FE Sedan home soon for parts, it is pretty much complete although rusty in the usual spots.
If anyone is after anything in particular (and I don't need it) let me know as I will be stripping and chopping up the car. I will be grabbing the bonnet mascot, front indicators and then probably cutting the rear off for a FE seat.

The old grey is still there, although I am unsure of the condition.

Hey Stinky,
Are the guards and subframe any good?
And I might be interested in the headlights too.....where are you??

Cat, I am in Adelaide, well a bit north of Adelaide in Lewiston. The guards from memory were straight, but rusted in the bottom and around the headlights. Subframe I am not sure about. I'll have a better look in a week or two when I get it back home.

Slim, go on if you like, as above I will look through the car properly when I get it home. First in best dressed!
Horn button is trash, 1/4 windows are there, I saw the plastic sides but not close enough to see the condition though.

Geez, if I got two replies this quick, I must be sitting on a gold mine with an FC Wagon full of bits out the back and 4 big boxes of parts stripped from an FC (came with my FE). I will be cleaning the shed in the next few weeks and will compile a list.

Thanks Stinky.
Has it got any of the door trim left, and if so what colour/condition??
And now that you've mentioned that wagon......are you thinking of selling it?  If it's in good nick to be a donor car I'm interested..... ;D

Sorry Cat, the wagon is ear-marked for my FC Woodie Wagon, CraigA and Alex did some excellent artwork that confirmed my suspicions that a Black Woodie FC Wagon would be a super-cool car.

What door trims are you after, the bloke I am buying off has a stack of trims lying about, so I may be able to pick something up for you.

Well here's the seed (original inspiration)
Then I got in touch with CraigA who did this for me.

Then Alex posted some of his excellent art-work, and I took to this with a (Microsoft) Paintbrush

Sorry Coolaride, all the FC Wagon panels are staying for the time being.

;) ;)Hey there Stinky,  Have we met?? As you come from Lewiston do you know one of our members, Ron Taylor who lives is Lewiston, who is now our new President.  Are you interested in joining our club as you seem to have lots of interest in FE-FC's let alone quite a few parts for sale.   Cheers Kathleen (Hotlips), Secretary SA Club (8381 5121) :D :D

Hi Kathleen
I did get along to an FE/C Club meeting a few years ago down Edwardstown way, I even got a sticker and a newsletter.
I don't think we have met formally though. Sorry, I don't know Ron, and I haven't seen any other FE/Cs around apart from a ute that was for sale last year.
I would be (I was a while back too.) interested in joining, but my lifestyle and location would restrict my appearances at club gatherings. Maybe we could work out a deal, membership in exchange for getting the SA section of the web-site up and running, have digital camera will travel ;D.
When's the next meeting?

Hi Glenn,  our next meeting is this Tuesday 6th May at 7.30 pm (at Edwardstown still).  All our meetings (except January) are held on the first Tuesday each month. On Monday I will send you (via this posting) a phone number for Ron as he should be coming to every meeting and you could possibly hitch a ride.  But nevertheless our club rules are that if you are more than 50 km from the GPO you are classed as a country member and the expectation of coming to meetings and social events is not expected as much.  If you want I can send you information/newsletters, just give me an address. You can call me anytime.  Cheers Kathleen

Well I love the woodie concept.  :o What's your program for completion??  Not the 2005 Nationals by any chance? Or is it perhaps the 2008 FC Anniversary nats - ooh what an absolute showstopper that would be.
Please keep us posted on the start/progress as I for one am very interested to see how you go.
Cheers, Cat

Hey Cat
No program for completion just yet, I have two FEs to finish! (The blue one and a F*&d big block 390FE for my Galaxie)

Anyway, I have secured what I think are FE Corsair Tan door trims. They are a caramel and cream colour.
One has a couple of tears around the winder hole, one has a crappy board but the guy chucked in another panel with a perfect board! Contact me if you still want them.
