I have read a few times about aftermarket harmonic balancers for grey motors and once read somewhere that sometimes balancers from Massy Fergusons were used to replace the original grey units.  Does anyone have any info on any of this.  I am procuring parts for the grey rebuild and this is definitely something I want to improve.

Cheers,
Burnsy

Hey Burnsy.
You can now get harmonic balancers that are like the red motor type for grey motors. I bought 1 from rares about 7 years ago.
