Keep it coming. If it gets to the point where you can't mention where work is being done it's a sad day. I don't live far away from you so might need your services one day. It's handy to know who does what and where. Regards to all, Martyn

How long's a piece of string? Some condition details and photos would help get a meaningful answer... At the end of the day, whatever the purchaser is willing to pay, which might not be what it's worth to you Regards, Martyn

Shipping was arranged last Tuesday night via e-go, parts arrived today 7 working days later as promised. 47kg of truck bits delivered from Dalby Qld to the depot South of Wollongong. Got a text notification that parts had arrived. All done for $86. Bargain. Thanks for the tip guys. Might have some update photos soon! Then I can get back to the FC. Martyn

General / General Board / Parts transport required -Dalby to Shellharbour

Hi all,
I have 45kg of truck parts for my Fargo at Dalby Wreckers in Qld, West of Toowoomba. The couriers are taking OHS to the limit and wanting a forklift at this end due to the weight (45kg isn't a big lift, but fair enough, they don't want to be liable if anything happens). If I get it separated to limit the weight of any individual package, I pay for 2 packages. Does anyone know of anyone that is going to be making the trip this way in the very near future who could do a parts run? Shellharbour is about 100km South of Sydney. Happy to pay for the service. I don't have enough time to wait for people to return from the Nationals next year! Regards, Martyn

Pete, if you could be convinced to do a run you could put me down for a LHS from the last circle forward! Martyn

I've got some info on my CrumpSnr build too using the same motor. I did mine a little differently from Brett's so I didn't need to modify the firewall. I benefited from Brett's experience though and used the same switch. Regards, Martyn

Hi Frankie, Not mine. I remembered I saw this at the Melbourne Rod Show last year. From a very nice Special belonging to Mark and Lynette Foster, according to the info board. They used 2. Looks like the LHS interferes with the spare somewhat but hard to tell for sure.

Wow, nearly a year since the last post. And about the same time since working on the car too. Have been too busy on the Fargo (see the posts in other vehicles under construction). Pete, did you still have a good cowl section available? I'd like to keep the vent in mine, even though it's gonna get A/C.
Regards,
Martyn

Hi Deano, The big one is a 1953 Chrysler Fargo (same body as Dodge, Desoto and International), Serial number is 359AF which I understand indicates it's a 3 ton, 159 inch wheelbase Australian built Fargo. Hope this helps. Can't find much on the little one, but I'm getting the feeling it was originally a pickup. This is something along the lines of how I want it to end up: I'm just South of Wollongong, or as FCDave would say, just East of Robertson . Regards, Martyn
