82  Technical Board / Modification Help / PETROL FUMES on: June 03, 2002, 07:50:53 PM
Huh My fc  has had the original petrol tank replaced with a drop tank. The car consistently smells of petrol, which I believe  is from the boot not the engine. ( no sign of leaks in the engine bay ) The tank has a breather ...even when you walk past the car you can smell the petrol, even though it may have been sitting for a week or so..... Any ideas what I need to start checking for elimination ?

Thxs Phil.

85  Technical Board / Modification Help / 202 motor oil pick up on: May 07, 2002, 10:24:44 AM
Cheesy  When I first start my car after it has been sitting a while, it takes about 30 seconds for the  oil light to go off and also the oil pressure gauge to move.....is this causing damage ?...if so how do I fix it ? Hope  u can help.

Cheers...Phil.

:)The 50's were an era of nostalgia......chrome was the thing....I bought an FC just for that....chrome....Aussie icon..... these things will never go away...I love hearing the older blokes say..." I used to have one of those ".... When I was young , I was totally Holden...you know, because dad had them...then Bathurst in the 70's ...now I can appreciate those early model Falcons, even if they don't have as much chrome as the FC's...I think they do up real well. Cheesy
87  Technical Board / Modification Help / power steering for fc on: April 10, 2002, 08:46:18 AM
Huh   My Fc has a 202 motor with a HR front end with 7 inch rims...steering is very heavy....is there a bolt on p/steering available ?

next....My engineers cert required a dual master cylinder which I had installed.....however before installed the brakes needed little pressure and worked perfectly...once the dual had been fitted  ( they are power assisted ) they work ok, but need twice the amount of pedal pressure....why ?
