Is that a ute from W.A?... John Gilbert from Just Rust has done one very similar. Could be it.

I reckon that it looks pretty hot too Slim... Although I do like RET's idea about driving with it up for vision.
The camera option isn't too bad either.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Have been stwing on this problem for a while now and still none the wiser.

Am wondering what type of rear view mioorors to put on my Van... Being the original style hanging off the door, or something fixed to the door itself. I have also seen some adjustable mirrors located in the vent window.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hey Slim,

The gate looks pretty good... What would it cost to get another one done?

Thanks

Hi Leon,

Just had a look at my speedo and it has K57 on the back so made in Nov 57.  After talking to Ken when I first got my car, the manufacture was between Mar 5 and Mar 15 in 1958, so still not quite the most accurate way to get the true date of manufacture.

Hope this helps

1672  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Stub axles on HR front ends on: May 16, 2003, 12:13:10 AM
G'day Mick,

Ed's right on the money there... I have used the rotors and calipers fron a VT and supplied a set of drum stubs to Hoppers Stoppers in Vic.

They modified the stubs as described and then supplied all of the gear to do the job I required. Everything bolted up perfectly.

Hope this helps.

Regards

G'day Mikey,

What is your application to the stubs?

I had to use drum stubs modified to take my VT calipers and discs.

1674  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Modifying/building fuel tanks what metal? on: May 11, 2003, 03:06:45 AM
G'day Ed,

On my aluminium tank I used 2 mm and 3mm plate that I cut and bent myself. Then I got someone to weld it up for me.

The one that I heard of today was a guy who makes tanks out of 10mm plastic. You supply dimensions and he makes it.
That was through Rick from Radical Early Holdens up here in Cairns... He would have the contact number if you wanted to go that way...approx cost $300.00

Cheers

Hi Slim,

Try Greyhound, or McCafferty's bus lines. They may be able to get it there for you.

Cheers

Hey Harko,

Then if you change the colour of slims van to Wildberry, you will have killed two birds with the one stone.

Hang on... Will that stuff Ed's nest?  Roll Eyes

That's where I like to be.

Hi Superfly,

I think that it is horses for courses...

The way i chose my colour was to go hunting around the new car yards and pick my favorite from them.

Good luck with your decision.
