Came across this on ebay. Someone may be interested in the motor and twin carbs. Says it has been reconditioned though a few years ago. Mike.

Excuse my ignorance (not being a boating person). How or why do you water cool a sump? As said in the story.

A typical water cooled sump has a single pipe looped around in the low point of the pan. (imagine something that looks like the heating element in your kettle).
After the water is collected at the pickup, it's sent through the cooling pipe in the sump before it reaches the manifolds.
Not as effective as a remote oil cooler - but a lot cheaper.
