Hi Richard,  I don't know whether I gave the wrong impression Embarrassed but I like the HD the way it came out (& the HR).  I just didn't like the prototype models (they do look like a cross between a Zodiac / Vauxhall) Huh.  I also agree that if they did come out that way, we would have got used to them, but like all great designs until the "right" one appeals to the designers, the prototypes are sent back to the drawing board.
Greg and I also own a VT wagon and think it is great.  We both thought the VX was fantastic too but I am disappointed with the grill and the back end - yes it does look like a Magna Tongue  but I doooo luvvvv the new Monaro as well  Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin.  Cheers HOTLIPS

Grin Grin Hi there, I personally think that if those early photos of the HD were actually produced into cars it would have been a Huge Disaster.  Anyway all Holdens look good to me (FE/FC's are superior though) and I do have a passion for HK monaro's, preferably the Bathurst model.  Nevermind one day I might get to own one.  But on the subject of Holdens I am very disappointed (and I am putting this so politely!!!) with the VY model.  I am sure an enemy of Holden's (probably a FORD lover) infiltrated the designer's drawing board and purposely made the car look like a piece of sh.. Lips sealed.. shonky work.  The VX was sooo much better - so let's hope they clear out their staff and get a better looking model next time!!!  Cheers HOTLIPS  Wink

244  General / FE-FC Holden Nationals / Re: Nationals Rules & Constitution on: January 01, 2003, 04:27:10 AM
Hi there Richard,  As Greg and I are SA National Delegates we are wanting to know how come there is discussion (about changes) with the rules/regulations of the constitution when we have received no such information/correspondence about changes etc.  As the Nationals are just that (National interest) are the subjects under discussion not for all delegates to hear and I would have thought that that would have violated the constitution itself.  PS: Am I National Delegates Chairperson NOW or do I take over in QLD.  As I have never received minutes from the Sydney NATS I cannot recall some things that were brought up then.   Hoping you can clarify these matters.  Kathleen Textor

Hey Guys, Greg was replying to the guy who just fitted twin carbs to his FC and was running a hot RED motor.  Cheers, HOTLIPS (Kathleen).

Smiley Well folks the only performance carby to fit is 600CFM D/P holley.  As long as you have control over your right foot!!!  Driven with a gradual depressing foot during the initial 5-10 metres and then pushed to the floor, explosive acceleration will be experienced.  However driven sedately using only the primaries, lively performance and good fuel economy are experienced.  Plus there is a considerable "wow" factor.  This conversion costs a little over $1,000 and is real value and a considerable bang for bucks.  Regards Greg.  Wink

Hi everyone, about the calendars, well the blue wagon and the Yellow FC ute belong to an ex member of SA (Steven Johnson) and is now part of the Holdens of Age (Mt Gambier branch) Car Club.  He has sold the ute to one of our members since then.  I will try to get more info.  Kathleen. Grin Grin
