Hi all do I have to use a grey starter on a grey or can i use one off a red motor

I think the red motor starter has too much torque, I have an EK starter on 1 of mine, they have 4 brushes instead of the 2 on the earlier starters.

Oh ok so do they fit as I just need to ground test a grey

Jason,
What gearbox are you using? This will determine whether you use a grey motor starter or a red motor starter. Grey motor starter's have three bolts that fit into the bellhousing, red motor starter's have two.

Hi its an FC crash box but I though I would give a red starter a try and bolted it up usin just the 2 holes and hit the power and away it went turning the engine over so I will add fuel and spark on my day off and keep everyone informed.
