Don't knock the people who can pay for what they want . I spent years modifying old Holdens for people and most of my ideas come from these people who can spend the money . Having said that ,I'm on a disability pension and can't spend the money ,so I do it myself and have disc brakes ,rack and pinion ,red six with borg warner 5 speed , collapsible steering column, H4 headlights, retracting seatbelts etc. But its just an everyday driver that I can use to take a load of rubbish to the tip or go to a car show. As for the engineers and the legislation , rules are for fools , they just keep us on our toes and keep those who are not capable from doing impractical things. When you ask the right people the right question you can get practical sensible advise . Haydn
