Has anyone on here had any troubles with Pat from V6 conversions
I couple of month ago i bought his NEW Hr front end, Also crossmember, Engine mount adapters, extractors,BCM overide and easy wiring kit for 308 EFI.
First problem i had was when i trial fitted engine mount they hit oil pump, I called him he said try again they fit, I said i've tried them 10 times no fit, After i removed oil pump they fitted.
Now step 2 fitted engine in bay, mounts will not line up with front end, Another phone call, Treated my like a dick and thought i didnt know what i was doing, Sent pics to him, only to be told they are the right mounts try again, i tried 5 more times no fit, i told him they are 50mm out he said no way can't be.
Called me 4 days later and said i found the problem, Those mounts are not for that front end.
Told me he would send me the right mounts 3 weeks 10 phone calls, Still waiting, NOT HAPPY

Your not the first and wont be the last .

some very irate people that have dealt with them.
i have heard of 2 left hand engine mounts , welds missing, and a lot of other dodgey work..

Good luck if you get stuck there are always people willing to help out on the forum.

Absolutely Shit house customer service mate. Post some pics as they tell a thousand words.

I have rung and he seems like a cranky bugger, another member here had mounts reversed on a front end that was sent....

Definitely can do better

Guys,

No dramas with anything written so far, but just a gentle reminder that what you write here you are responsible for. This forum is open to the public, and that includes businesses, who could conceivably take a dim view of public criticism, particularly if it could be considered libellous or defamatory. Administrators of forums need to also be careful what they allow, hence a certain sensitivity on the Moderators' part to this general issue.

To reiterate, no problem thus far, but preempting seems a better idea than picking up the pieces. OK?

cheers

Good point RET.

This is my personal dealing with the company. I know dam sure if I was a customer fronting up at Mallaby sheetmetal I'd be taken care of. Grin
Truthfully it is pretty average the interaction I have had. Similarly My axles being shortened by a company here in Newcastle are really giving me the shits. Customer service goes a bloody long way. I certainly wont be recommending them to anyone else

My main gripe with said person is that he treated me like i had no idea what i was doing, This is my 10 th old car V8 conversion so i think i have a little idea about what im doing

Social Media is the best way to stick it up these a/holes.There's nothing defamatory if it's true, and with all the negativity here and other sites, they deserve every bit.It might be wise to contact the Engineer who gave the ''OK'' for these modifications, someone has to be held accountable for this and if the Engineer is slack,go above him until you get answers.I absolutaley hate these BigGuys who walk all over the cutomer''US'' it's take the money and run with them.If you advertise a product, take the $$$for it and it's found not to be what's advertised it's Fraud,it's that simple ! Here we go again,Waited all this time for "the right engine mount plates" that dont fit right
Have now modified gearbox crossmember to fit
Threw the engine mount plates, Refitted VS comm ones
Removed engine mounts from front end relocated them forward and lower
Remodified extractors to fit
Engine is now in, about to  fit up accesories
What a waste of time and money buying those parts

I also tossed the engine mounts from v6 conversions , the special sump to suit a 304 efi had to be modified twice to fit,
as far as they were concerned the conversion was a success because they got paid
A mate purchased a front end, when a bolt dented his inner guard their reply was "that bloke was a terrible welder so we sacked him".as far as they were concerned that fixed the problem they were not interested in his inner guard
