Title: Badge Colour
Post by: ChrisB on December 28, 2002, 04:17:58 AM
Hi Guys,
Can any one help with the correct colour red for the quarter panel sheild and striping.
Either paint code or other so I can get some for my badges.

Also does any one know if you still can get the oil filler cap gasket for the rocker cover ????  I have had no success so far. I am thinking I may have to make one. What is the correct thickness req for the gasket ??

I was pretty sure the badge paint colour had been discussed before.  Check out this thread ($2).  It has some opinions and suggestions, but no definitive paint mix - even the Guru can't help with an answer to that!

cheers

Chris,
I haved used Marinello(Spelling???) Red(a Commodore colour) this seems a very close match to orinigal and to the new badges I bought of Rare Spares.
By the way the Rare Spares badges / Special sign for back guards are undersized compared to my originals.  :(Looks like they will go on the trailer. ::)
As to rocker cover gasket?
Hope the above helps
John M
PS Where have you been hiding?
