Hi guys and gals
What's the best way to set the tappets from scratch,rebuilding for very first time.
remember many a year ago when i was a lot younger back in pommie land with the 4 cylinder motor if number 1 was open set say number 5,is it the same for the grey motor.
Hope someone can help.

I'm still learning about these motors, asked for a repair kit for vacuum pump on a grey motor and got the top half one,didn't realize what was missing until i stripped it down.

Hi all
got a repair kit for the fuel pump but only does the top half ?, is there another kit to buy or do you have to modify something else.

Hi all, Just want to know if you can still get new clutch plates ,as went to local clutch specialist and told me you can't get them, we have to have them remanufacture the existing one?.

Hi all, Just want to know if there is any body in victoria that reconditions dizzy,s or in aussie?
also does the fj starter motor fit the fe, grey motor set up?.

Technical Board / Modification Help / rear diff problem

Hi all decided to change the rear diff on my fe ute, but up came a problem the universal joint fits the diff but not the prop shaft. diff is a 1 inch location and the prop shaft is 15/16th.the joint is 1 inch all round. I have got a fe sedan which i'm restoring and already swapped the diff,so i tried the prop shaft and it fits,but is that the right way or is there a universal joint that will do the job.
