Then there is this block which is well expensive but if you are desperate too rich for my money especially as the seller admits there was water in two pots.

I'm guessing it's expensive because someone told him the block was special with no engine number. His claim is incorrect though. All NASCO new blocks whether for boats, cars or fork lifts were sold without engine numbers. If the motor was to go in a car then the owner was supposed to drop into the local cop shop to get it stamped (hence the VP and NP etc blocks)
Lots of owners didn't bother. ::)
I don't think there was a requirement for boats or fork lifts to get a number stamped, though I am not really sure on that detail. ???

This seller says there is a grey and a red motor but I see two red motors not a red and grey, I could be wrong?  Port Sorell is on the north westerly coast of Tassie.  That account for the rust :)

This grey motor has been on Gummie for a while at $400 the with an alloy rocker cover could be good buying
(I did the math - $200 for rocker cover- $200 for head (Providing it isn't cracked ) crank say $100 bits and bobs another couple of hundred. but shipping it to Tassie from Hervey Bay)
